The Wicked Dr Warder is back!

I've given him a break for a year or so ... but it's time to bring back my talk 'The Wickedness of Dr Warder'! When I talk about The Crimes of Dr Gramshaw, I am often asked "Do you have another talk like this?" Well, yes - if you liked (or possibly loathed) Dr Gramshaw, you will certainly be interested in Dr Warder, who also broke a few of the key rules of doctoring!

Dr Warder lived in Brighton at the end of his life, and amidst the grand Victorian society of the mid to late 19th century, he was respected and recognised as a local medical man with a lovely new wife. Until his mysterious trip to London with a box one summer's day was followed by an odd hotel booking he made just across the square from his lodgings ...

I do love delving into the stories of doctors and nurses who don't behave as they should, and ferreting out the newspaper coverage of their doings and their downfall. So if that's something that intrigues you too, do get in touch and book a talk about The Wickedness of Dr Warder.
